Hand Written Recognition

MICR (Myanmar Intelligent Character Recognition) is one kind of ICR system. MICR is composed of statistical, semantic and hybrid approaches and the final decision is made by the voting system. MICR can recognize both handwritten and type-face characters. Hybrid of OCR and ICR technology will achieve the best recognition and accuracy rates.

MICR has been successfully developed for off-line Myanmar character recognition applications such as car licene plates recognition system, reading characters in vouchers, digit recognizers and road-sign recognition system.

It has also been extended to recognize on-line handwritten Myanmar compound words. As soon as the input are recognized , the editable text (Unicode/ASCII) is produced by using MICR system.
